Trust is earned, not given
In the third public meeting in 3 months, City Hall will not back down. This time, City staff joined the fight to sway public opinion that development is the best option for their pocketbooks.
Things didn’t go as planned. City staff expected a Monday night meeting would end with hugs and smiles, but not when the process isn’t transparent. Less than 200 chairs were given to the crowd of almost 500. Quorom was abandoned when residents were asked to bring questions, but were not allowed to even speak. Things really went sour when officials lost their cool and asked “If you don’t trust us, why did you come?”
